Skype for BlackBerry 10 Coming Soon

It has been confirmed that Skype for BlackBerry 10 will be an Android port. Skype finally revealed that BlackBerry comes again but this time, publicly and a cover version of Android. Many BlackBerry users have asked here and are so so at their beck and call.It is questionable whether a native Skype app would develop or that the Android app would porting for BlackBerry 10. That question is answered by Skype. Together with BlackBerry Skype is the collaborations to ensure that the app runs great on BlackBerry 10.




This is was confirmed from a press statement from skype - :
"You are correct That the Skype app coming to BlackBerry 10 is our very popular Skype for Android app. We are excited That BlackBerry is enabling Android apps like Skype for Android run great on BB10, and are fully supporting the Android runtime environment and tools for Android BlackBerry 10. This Allows us to leverage our existing Skype for Android Development Efforts to Quickly Have the latest version of our app (Skype for Android 3.1) ready for BlackBerry 10.

We are closely collaborating with blackberry to Ensure the app runs well and That BlackBerry 10 users will have a great Skype experience. To That end, we are working closely with blackberry to open up some of the integration points available to native apps in the OS so That They Can Also be used by the Skype application and we expect the Skype app will allow users to see notifications, to start the app from the Hub, and to see Their Skype contacts in the native phone book." - Skype

BlackBerry Z10 officially announced today

Today RIM which renamed itself to "BlackBerry" officially unveiled two new devices, one of which we’ve already heard about plenty of times the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10.  The devices is said to be running on the new BlackBerry 10 OS.


The BlackBerry Z10 comes with a full touch display with a 4.2-inch display, with a pixel density of 356 ppi and a 1280 x 756 resolution. It’s a slightly smaller display than most other Android devices out on the market currently, but the impressive pixel density will surely please any BlackBerry user. The back of the device has a “textured surface” that makes it “really comfortable to hold.”

The device will come in both black and white models, It has overall rectangular shape with the rounded corners, as well as the camera and LED flash up in the top-left corner.It has what’s called Time Shift Mode, in which it allows users to take a photo, and then go back in time to find the exact moment of a particular facial reaction

The BlackBerry Z10 goes on sale January 31 in the U.K., February 5 in Canada ($149.99 on contract,) and February 10 in the UAE. Expect U.S. carriers to sell the smartphone for about $199 on contract (about $599 unlocked) in March, with official pricing announcements slated for the coming weeks.

BlackBerry 10 Launch Event to be Held January 30th, 2013

Research In Motion (RIM) announced today that it will hold its BlackBerry 10 launch event on January 30th, 2013. The event will happen simultaneously in multiple countries around the world. This day will mark the official launch of its new platform - BlackBerry 10, as well as the unveiling of the first two BlackBerry 10 smartphones. Details on the smartphones and their availability will be announced at the event.


BlackBerry 10 will offer a large catalog of the leading applications from across the globe and across all categories, including Games, Productivity, Social, Lifestyle and Leisure, Multimedia and Published Content, as well as applications designed for business and enterprise use.

The BlackBerry 10 platform has recently achieved FIPS 140-2 certification, which means that government agencies will be able to deploy BlackBerry 10 smartphones and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 as soon as it is available. This marks the first time BlackBerry products have been certified ahead of their launch. In addition, RIM recently announced that BlackBerry 10 smartphones have now entered more than 50 carrier labs with many more entries expected in the coming weeks.
